MIC was founded in 1963 in Houston, Texas as Magnetic Instrument Corporation, initially producing small electromechanical assemblies. The company was moved to Brenham, Texas in 1977 and purchased by J.B. Poindexter Company, Inc. in 1992. MIC has grown rapidly and now has revenues in excess of $140 million. As part of this growth, MIC has developed a strong and broad base of customers. These customers include the leading companies in industries such as oil and gas services, aerospace, petrochemical products, power generation, medical equipment, and ordnance.
