Century Fiberglass, one of the most recognized names in the truck cap industry, started in 1970 building aluminum truck caps in Elkhart, Indiana under the name RAM Aluminum. Within five years RAM became one of the largest aluminum manufacturers of truck caps in the United States.

From this initial success, in the mid 70's the company began to build fiberglass truck caps and tonneaus.  With RAM Aluminum and Century Fiberglass the company quickly developed a reputation for excellent service, affordable pricing, and a product offering to meet everyone's needs. As a result, by 1999 Century had achieved sales in excess of 50,000 units.
