J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. is primarily focused on adding to its core holdings in transportation-related manufacturing businesses. We have no minimum size requirements for add-on acquisitions and we anticipate that most of these types of candidates will be smaller, niche businesses. However, for new platform acquisitions, we prefer businesses with at least $50 million but preferably $100 million of revenue. We are vigorously seeking acquisitions for cash with the following characteristics:


Add-ons for Morgan Corporation:

Morgan is the worldwide market share leader in the production of medium-duty truck bodies. We are seeking acquisition candidates that:

  • Manufacture similar truck body products providing geographic expansion or additional market penetration or
  • Manufacture related vehicular products that provide product line extensions.

Add-ons for the Truck Accessories Group:

TAG is the worldwide market share leader in the production of pickup truck caps and tonneau covers, operating through the brand names Leer, Century, Raider and Pace Edwards. We are seeking acquisition candidates that:

  • Manufacture similar truck accessory products providing geographic expansion or additional market penetration,
  • Manufacture related truck accessory products that provide product line extensions, or
  • Manufacture products that are production material inputs for TAG.

Add-ons for Morgan Olson Corporation:

Morgan Olson is the second-largest producer of delivery step-vans for customers such as UPS and FedEx. We are seeking acquisition candidates that:

  • Manufacture other specialty vehicles used in over-the-road delivery applications or
  • Manufacture larger components, desirably branded, that are utilized in the assembly of over-the-road delivery vehicles produced by others.

Add-ons for Specialty Vehicle Group:

SVG is the market leader in the production of funeral coaches and also manufacturers limousines and midsized buses. We are seeking acquisition candidates that:

  • Manufacture vehicles used in other niche transportation markets in specialized applications or
  • Manufacture small and midsized buses used in public transportation, school, vocational, day care and similar applications.

Add-ons for MIC Group:

MIC is a market leader in the production of metal components that require close tolerances and complex machining such as those found in the oilfield services industry. We are seeking acquisition candidates that are:

  • Sophisticated, job shop-type machining businesses located in the United States or are
  • The same type of businesses located in Latin America or Europe.

Add-ons for EFP Corp:

EFP is a market leader in the production of expanded foam products principally utilized for packaging applications. We are seeking acquisition candidates that:

  • Produce expanded foam products for packing applications or
  • Use expanded foam for the production of nonpackaging industrial or consumer items.

New Transportation-Related Manufacturing Company Platforms:

We are seeking new platform acquisitions that are:

  • Manufacturing companies of a size and scope to operate as a separate subsidiary and as a platform for future growth,
  • Generating revenues likely in excess of $50 million and preferably in excess of $100 million, and that
  • Manufacture products with a consumer or industrial brand name or readily recognizable identity.
  • Specific areas of interest include:
    • Specialty truck body manufacturers,
    • Specialty trailer manufacturers,
    • Specialty vehicle manufacturers,
    • Truck aftermarket product manufacturers, and
    • Manufacturers of branded or identifiable components that are assembled onto trucks and specialty vehicles.
  • Specific areas in which we are not interested include:
    • Automotive OEM manufacturers and
    • Recreational vehicle manufacturers.
